After 10 wonderful years with a 2015 GTI, the time came to swap it for a 2025 Golf R.
I had been contemplating replacing the GTI as it was getting on in years and it was a no brainer that I would opt for another one simply because the GTI is the perfect all-rounder: A magnificent machine that does everything well.
However, when you just so happen to see a '25 Golf R just sitting there on a dealership lot while passing by, you drop everything and pull in for a closer look.
A lovely car, this R.
First question though:
Is there a way to permanently turn off the start stop function with VAG-COM unit or do I HAVE to get one of those sketchy 3rd party harnesses that connect under the steering column?
