No idea why its red, but I do find it to be more useful at night now that I've gotten used to it.

I think it would be more useful too because all the other buttons on there are white. I just realized that.

I need to get that just from looking at it! And why is the unlock button red?
I think it is to let you know that you should be careful after pressing that button (your car being unlocked). Many cars show the physical lock with a red mark when unlocked, and hide it when locked.

And Audis typically do not. They just have a light that turns on I think that is red, I never really see for myself.

This thing has saved my FOB so many times from scratches.
I haven't scratched my key yet, and I don't want to, possibly because I don't use it to get in and out of the car, but unlocking, locking, turning on and off the car technically does count, but you don't grab the key itself. I will buy that case anyways just in case something like that happens.
